Sunderland Union Society to Reboot in 2023

Last year, the Sunderland Union Society was organized. The goals and ambitions of this organization were set firmly as promoting our city through the organization of speaking events and other activities.

However, the new society encountered growing pains and we’d like to apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused, especially through the cancellation of events on behalf of speakers.

In December 2022, we held our first executive committee meeting in person at the Mountain Daisy and agreed on the steps required to move forwards. This included deeper efforts at professionalization and the drafting of a speaker contract to help those invited better understand the commitment they are making in agreeing to host our events.
